I’ve been following the case of Sabrina Antwinette Kelly, and it’s been on my mind how much of a tragedy it is that so many cases, including hers, didn’t receive the justice they deserve. Thinking about the pain her family must still be feeling is tough. It’s just so frustrating how community cooperation is essential in solving these cases, yet fear or distrust keeps people from stepping forward. I truly hope that over time, more people feel safe enough to speak up for Sabrina and others, so that their families can find some measure of peace. Does anyone know if there have been any community initiatives or outreach programs in Baltimore since then to foster more trust?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the discussion about Sabrina Antwinette Kelly’s case and something that really stood out to me is the broader issue of community cooperation—or rather, the lack thereof. It breaks my heart to think that there are people out there who may hold crucial information but are too afraid or hesitant to come forward. I understand that fear of retaliation can be a huge factor, but I keep wondering what more can be done to foster trust between law enforcement and the community.
Does anyone know if there have been successful initiatives elsewhere that Baltimore might look to for inspiration? It feels like unlocking community collaboration could be a key step in solving not only Sabrina’s case but others as well. My thoughts are with Sabrina’s family and loved ones as they continue to seek justice. They deserve answers.
Hoping for progress,

Has anyone else been following the Sabrina Antwinette Kelly case? It's profoundly upsetting to see yet another instance of gun violence take someone who seemed to be a cherished member of her community. I read about the challenges Baltimore faces with so many unsolved cases due to the lack of community cooperation, and it got me thinking about how law enforcement can improve relationships with residents in areas plagued by violence. If people felt safer and more supported, maybe they'd be more likely to come forward with information. Sabrina deserved justice, and so does every victim. I'm hoping more people will start talking and sharing whatever they might know. It's crucial for these cases to be solved for the peace of families and the safety of neighborhoods. Does anyone have thoughts on how the community and police can build a better trust?
