Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of James Herbert, and there's something about it that really lingers in my mind. It's so disconcerting to think about the role that witness cooperation (or the lack thereof) plays in these investigations. I know that distrust between the community and law enforcement contributes to this issue, and it's such a frustrating cycle. In James's case, it's particularly sad that even though there was a surveillance camera nearby, we have no idea if it captured anything of use, enhancing the cloud of uncertainty surrounding what happened. It just feels so unfair to James and his family to have his murder remain unresolved because of these hurdles. I keep thinking about what it must be like for his loved ones to wait for justice without any clear leads. Baltimore's beautiful community is strained by these tragedies, and I wish there was more trust and collaboration between everyone involved to help bring closure to families like James's. Sending thoughts to his family and hoping for a breakthrough soon. Stay safe, everyone.
