Hey everyone, I've been reading about Maikeli Hawkins and wanted to bring up something I haven't seen discussed much in the threads. It's incredibly unsettling to see how little has progressed in his case after all these years. This took place on the 800 block of Augusta Avenue, and I wonder if anyone here might have lived nearby or visited that area in 2016? The lack of leads is so frustrating. It makes you think if there were any surveillance cameras in the vicinity or if nearby residents heard or saw anything unusual that night. Baltimore has its issues with crime, but it still shocks me how cases like this can go unsolved for so long. It must be so hard for Maikeli's family and friends, living every day without answers. Anyone with insights on how the community around Augusta Avenue has changed since then? Or if there's renewed interest in solving cold cases like this one? Hoping for some kind of breakthrough or fresh attention to finally bring justice for Maikeli.
