I can't even begin to imagine the pain her family is experiencing, having lost someone so dear in such a shocking way. It's so devastating that a night meant for music and fun turned into a nightmare for so many. What stands out to me is the sheer resolve and dedication of the investigators who worked on the case, finally bringing some measure of justice by identifying and charging those responsible. Yet, even with these arrests, there’s a part of this story that leaves a lingering ache because justice, while necessary, doesn’t bring Shaniqua back to her loved ones. Her family, along with others affected, has been incredibly brave in their calls to end gun violence, and their voices should echo louder than the violence that tries to overshadow them. To those close to Shaniqua, know that the community stands with you in grief and in strength. We must not lose hope for a future where events like these are a thing of the past.
