I can't stop thinking about why this 14-year-old ended up having a gun in the first place. It's deeply troubling. Kids shouldn't have access to firearms, and it raises so many questions about how these weapons are getting into the wrong hands. I can’t imagine the burden he must carry now, knowing what happened as a result of the negligence. Plus, how heartbreaking for Danny’s family, who are already going through so much. Losing a child under any circumstances is unimaginable, but knowing it was preventable must be beyond painful. I truly hope this spurs discussions that lead to real changes in gun safety laws. Something has to change before more innocent lives are lost. Sending love and strength to everyone affected by this tragedy.
