Has anyone here been out to the Frank's Tract area recently or in the past? I've been following Harold Smith's case and can't help but think that the marshes make it such a difficult area for searches. With the ever-changing water levels and dense vegetation, it's almost like looking for a needle in a haystack. Are there any locals familiar with how the terrain has changed over the years or have any stories of similar incidents in the area? It seems like such a mysterious place, and I wonder if any shifts in the land or water patterns could have affected the search efforts back in 1980 or in recent attempts. Even the smallest detail could help in piecing together what might have happened to Harold.
Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day Harold Smith went missing in Frank's Tract? That area is notorious for fog and tricky tides, especially in January. I'm wondering if there were any reports or anything unusual about the weather back in 1980 that could have made searching more difficult or potentially contributed to his disappearance. Just thinking out loud here, but if the weather was bad, it might explain why there hasn’t been much information or evidence found. Anyone with knowledge of local weather records from that time might have some valuable insights to share.
