Has anyone ever looked into the theory that Marie's disappearance might be linked to illegal activities in Las Vegas during that era? It's a fact that the early '80s in Vegas were a chaotic time with organized crime heavily involved in a lot of operations. Some people think her sudden vanishing act could have been related to something bigger happening that we might not be aware of, especially with the suspicious disappearances of other people connected to David. Maybe David got mixed up with something he couldn't handle? I'm curious if detectives ever followed this angle, and if there are people who might have seen or heard something back in the day but were too scared to talk. Just trying to think outside the box since the traditional leads seem to be going nowhere. Anybody from around that time remember hearing any rumors or knows if the police ever considered this?

I’ve been looking into Marie Morgan’s case and something that puzzles me is the role of the Women's Crisis Center. They reported her missing on June 16, 1980, more than a month after she was last seen. I wonder what prompted them to take that step. Was it routine for them to report missing persons back then, or was there something specific that raised alarms about Marie’s absence? Given the era and the social climate, I imagine these centers might have been lifelines for many women, and it's possible Marie had confided in them about troubles at home. Does anyone know if there’s more context about her relationship with the crisis center? Could this connection shed more light on the timeline or offer clues about her life before she vanished?
