I’ve been diving deep into the details surrounding John Vincent Faix's disappearance, and something that's been on my mind is the significance of the timing—the day before he vanished, Faix mentioned potential flights to Trinidad, Venezuela, or Colombia. Now, given his job, traveling is no surprise, but what stands out is the uncertainty of his destination and mode of travel. If he were piloting either the Aero Commander 560E or the Beechcraft B65, wouldn’t there have been records of his flight plans? Even back in 1981, there should have been some way to trace where he was going or planning to go. If he was a passenger, it seems odd that nothing has turned up about ticket purchases or reservations. The fact that foul play is suspected makes me wonder if someone intentionally obscured these details. Could Faix have been involved in something beyond just his piloting duties that led to his disappearance? Thoughts?
