I can’t stop thinking about how Carlos Hakeem Younger’s murder reflects a much larger issue within Baltimore at that time. It's like he became another statistic in a year plagued with violence, but this shouldn’t diminish the fact that he was a real person with friends and family who are left grieving. It’s so disheartening to know that cases like this often hit roadblocks due to a lack of witness cooperation. I truly hope that with the passing of time, someone with information will come forward, and that Carlos’ family can find some closure. It’s infuriating how fear and distrust can hinder justice for victims and their loved ones.
