When I think about Anthony Haywood Hornes and what happened on that terrible day in April 2016, my heart aches for his family and friends. Can you imagine receiving that call, realizing that a loved one was gone in such a senseless act of violence? It's devastating. What's frustrating is that these incidents are becoming statistics rather than the tragedies they truly are. Anthony was a person with a life, with people who cared deeply for him. These aren't just numbers; they're the lives of real people with futures that were brutally cut short. I'm really hoping that Anthony's death can be a catalyst for change. We seriously need to come together as a community to push for interventions and better policies to prevent further lives from being lost. More needs to be done to ensure these violent weeks become a thing of the past and that no other family has to endure what Anthony's family is going through. Sending out thoughts to all those affected by this tragedy and hoping for a day when we don't have to see headlines like these anymore.

Does anyone have more information about the community response after Anthony Haywood Hornes was killed? It seems like such a painful time for Baltimore, and I’m curious about what kind of support or events might have followed. Were there any vigils or rallies held for him or other victims from that week? It’s so important for communities to come together, and I'm hoping there were efforts made to both remember Anthony and push for changes to prevent these tragedies. If anyone was involved in those initiatives or knows about them, please share. My heart goes out to all the families touched by this senseless violence.
