I’ve been reading up on Ariel Joyner's case and something that caught my attention was the role of the digital evidence during the trial. It really shows how much technology can play a part in solving crimes nowadays. It’s haunting, but also somehow reassuring to know that even when physical evidence might not paint the whole picture, digital trails can fill in the gaps. I can't even begin to imagine what her family went through, but knowing that some kind of justice was served must offer them a sliver of comfort. It's just so important for us to be aware of how our online interactions can come back in unexpected ways – both for better and for worse. It’s sad that it had to be through such a tragic event, but hopefully, the awareness created leads to real change. What do you all think about how digital evidence is impacting criminal cases?
