Has anyone else looked into the background of the South Bay Market itself? I know the focus is on the tragedy between Manuel Segura and Hargest King, but I'm curious about what kind of place the market is. It seems like it might be a hangout spot, which might have contributed to tensions escalating. Did they have any security measures in place? I feel like businesses in high-conflict areas could do more to deter such incidents—like, maybe better lighting or a visible security presence. It's just deeply upsetting to think that a place that should serve the community could also be a little powder keg waiting for any spark. My heart goes out to Manuel's friends and family. It's always so painful to think about these "what-ifs" and how perhaps a slight change in circumstances could have made all the difference.
