I've been following the case of Javonte Summers and can't stop thinking about how his family must be feeling. It must be incredibly difficult not only losing someone so young but also not having answers or justice yet. I can't help but wonder about the trauma his loved ones are experiencing. It got me thinking about how crucial community support can be in times like these. I saw that there's a $5,000 reward for information, which is great, but sometimes it takes more than monetary incentives to encourage people to come forward. People might be afraid, or they just consider it "someone else's problem," but remembering that Javonte was a real person with dreams and loved ones who miss him might push someone to share what they know. I just hope people realize that every little bit of information could be the piece that helps solve this puzzle, for Javonte's sake and for the safety of the community. His case is a call to action for all of us to support one another and step up when it counts.
