I’ve been thinking a lot about the ripple effect this tragedy has had on the West Park community, especially among the young people who knew Antwon. It makes me wonder about the support systems that are in place for them now. The trauma of losing a friend to violence at such a young age must be incredibly difficult to process. Are there any community programs or counseling services stepping up to offer support? I feel like this could be an opportunity to push for more youth-oriented resources in the area. It’s so important that these kids have a safe space to express their grief and emotions, and to talk about the fears they might have after losing someone in such a senseless manner. My heart goes out to Antwon's family and friends. They’ve been so strong and vocal, but I hope they are getting the emotional support they need too. If anyone knows of local initiatives or ways to help, I'd love to hear about it. Maybe we could pool together some ideas to support West Park in healing and growing stronger.
