Hey everyone, I've been looking into the tragic events going down at Putah Creek back in 1885, and something that's sticking with me is the role of Juan Lopez in all this. I can't imagine the shock of returning home from a hard day's work to find such horror. From what I gather, Juan was a farm worker for the Penas. It makes you wonder about the dynamics at play during that time—were there tensions we don't know about between these families or individuals? It's brutal to think there are no clear suspects even after this time, but it seems more people than just Lamon or Juana could have been involved. It’s frustrating that despite questioning and investigations, Davisville was left with more questions than answers. My heart goes out to any relatives or descendants trying to make sense of this story today. It’s important to keep talking and sharing in case someone comes across something that could finally shed some light on what happened that day. Thoughts with the Lopez and Martinez families.
