Has anyone come across any old news articles or interviews with folks who might have visited Park Mall in Tucson around December 1984? I’m wondering if there might be some untapped witnesses or even passing comments in local stories from that time. Especially curious if anyone mentioned seeing a woman fitting Bowers's description around the Sears entrance. It's odd that nobody in the mall seemed to have seen her at all. It would be interesting to know if there was perhaps an event or unusual store promotion that day that might have drawn more people to the mall, potentially giving more opportunities for someone to have noticed her. Also, does anyone know if there were security cameras or mall surveillance back in that time, and whether footage could still be accessed somehow?

Has anyone else thought about the timing of Bowers's disappearance? It strikes me as odd that no one else at the mall reported seeing her, especially considering how busy malls tend to be during the holiday season. December 12th is right in the middle of the shopping rush, so you'd think someone would have noticed something. Also, if she lived in Mexico, what was so urgent or important that she needed to be dropped off at that Sears in Tucson specifically? Did she have some kind of appointment or plan that no one knew about? This detail just seems really strange to me, and I'm curious if others think this might be a key angle that hasn't been explored enough.
