Has anyone looked into the possibility that Joseph Bertone might have been planning to disappear on purpose? We know he had significant ties to organized crime, and maybe he was trying to escape that lifestyle. It's odd that he would call his wife from a truck garage. Why there of all places? Could it have been some kind of safe spot or a pre-arranged meeting place for something other than business as usual? His car was found in Harmar, not too far from McKeesport but far enough for him to lay low in case he was plotting an escape. Does anyone have info on whether Bertone had connections or properties out in the Harmar area? Would love to hear thoughts or theories!
