Hey everyone, I’ve been reading about the tragic case of Roger Dale Madison, and a detail that caught my attention was the whole orange grove situation. It’s chilling to think about how Roger probably thought it was all just innocent fun, maybe even an exciting game to play with the promise of earning some money. I can’t help but feel a deep sense of sorrow for his family, knowing that he was lured away by someone they might have assumed was trustworthy since he was connected to Roger's friend. It’s a reminder of how manipulative Edwards was, preying on the trust and innocence of kids. I keep wondering if searching more extensively back then might have changed the outcome of locating Roger. It’s so distressing to think his family still hasn’t had the closure they deserve. If any locals remember more about the area back in the day, maybe it could offer new insights? It’s such a heartbreaking case that still resonates today.
