Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on December 6, 1986, around Freeport? I’ve been reading about Dennis Bagnall's disappearance, and since they were setting out to sail back to Fort Lauderdale, a sudden storm could have easily played a part, especially if they weren't prepared or if it was unexpected. I know bad weather could make navigation tricky, even with a guide on board. Does anyone have more info on any weather reports or accounts from that day? I’m just wondering if there's any reason to believe weather might have been more of a factor than initially thought.

I stumbled upon this case while browsing through older unsolved disappearances and something just doesn’t sit right with the whole boat retrieval scenario. Dennis and Tony were supposed to take a boat from the Bahamas back to Florida, but with a local guide accompanying them, how could things have gone so wrong? Was the guide not vetted properly, or could they have known something about the boat that Dennis and Tony didn’t? It’s baffling that no trace of them or the boat has been found in all these years. The ocean can be unforgiving, sure, but I can’t shake off the feeling there's more under the surface in this case. Has anyone looked into similar incidents or disappearances from that marina around the same time? Any thoughts on whether the boat itself or its history might hold some of the answers we’re searching for?
