I still find myself thinking about the brave law enforcement officers and first responders who were called to the Miroth home that terrible day. One can only imagine how haunting it must have been for them to witness such devastation. These officers undoubtedly carry the memories of what they saw with them every day, long after the case was closed. It's a reminder of the emotional and psychological toll that such professions can have on individuals who are just trying to do their jobs. Their efforts to piece together what happened were crucial in bringing Richard Chase to justice, but I sincerely hope that they have the support systems in place to help them cope with the aftermath. I'm grateful for their service and the burden they bore to find some semblance of justice for Jason and the other victims. If anyone knows of local resources or groups that might support first responders dealing with these kinds of traumatic experiences, please share. It's important that we don't overlook the well-being of those who help us in our darkest times.
