Hey everyone,
I recently came across an old interview from the early '80s about the Don Rose case, and there was a brief mention of a mysterious caller who tipped off the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office. Has anyone else heard about this? The caller apparently shared some details about seeing someone near Don’s house on the night of his death but then vanished without a trace before they could be questioned further.
It's heartbreaking for Don's loved ones not to have closure. I wonder if this call holds the key to solving the mystery. Could it be someone in the community who got spooked or just a false lead? This shadowy figure continues to add another layer to an already puzzling case. Thoughts?
I've been thinking a lot about the Don Rose case and the whole timeline around August 10, 1979. It's tough to imagine how the initial hours and days after his death unfolded. I read somewhere that there was a lack of immediate concrete evidence, which seems baffling. Were there any significant missteps in the early investigation that might have contributed to the case going cold? It's clear that the passage of time hasn't helped, but I can't help but wonder if something critical could have been missed from the start.
My heart goes out to those close to Don who are still seeking answers decades later. I hope that as more people become aware of his story, it might lead to new information coming to light. It just takes one piece of the puzzle to make things clearer. Anyone know if there were any early theories immediately dismissed or overlooked?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Don Rose case for a while, and something that's been on my mind is the involvement of the witnesses and how their conflicting testimonies may have muddied the waters so much. It must be incredibly frustrating for Don's friends and family to know that there were people who might have seen or heard something, yet the accounts don’t seem to line up. I keep wondering if these discrepancies are due to genuine differences in what people observed or if there was any level of intimidation affecting their statements.
Understanding how complex memory can be, especially after traumatic events, must have been a real challenge for the investigators back then. Even now, it’s difficult to piece things together years later. I really hope someone who knows more comes forward, especially if they’ve been holding onto any detail they think might not matter. It's these little things that can sometimes be the key to cracking tough cases.
Sending thoughts to Don’s loved ones who are still seeking closure. It’s been a long time, but everyone deserves answers and justice. ?
What do you all think—could a fresh look at the witness statements lead anywhere new?
