I just came across a piece of the Sunset Strip Murders case that really got to me—apparently, Gina Marano had a close friend named Lisa who was heartbroken after the news came out. I read that Lisa had mentioned how Gina loved spending time at the beach and had dreams of becoming a marine biologist one day. It’s just so devastating thinking about how her young life and those dreams were stolen from her by such senseless violence. I can’t even begin to imagine what Lisa and Gina’s other friends and family members went through, having to piece together those memories amidst the grief. They all deserved so much more than this nightmare. It's stories like these that remind us of the real people and futures lost in these crimes, beyond just the headlines and court details.
