Has anyone else been following the Harriette Wolfers case from the early '80s? I was just reading about it again, and I'm struck by the role that forensic science played in bringing justice to the victim and her family. It's amazing how advances in forensic technology and determined investigative work were able to uncover evidence that initially went unnoticed. I wonder how different things would have been without the forensic revelations that confirmed the presence of a toxic substance. It goes to show the importance of thorough investigative work and the tenacity of law enforcement. It's a reminder of how important it is to keep pushing forward in cases, even when answers aren't immediately clear. It must have been such a relief for Harriette's family to finally get the truth and see justice served, though it's so sad to think about the time lost before her case was solved. Thoughts?
