I've been diving into Debra Ann Harmon's case, and something that keeps bothering me is the timing of everything leading up to her going missing. She contacted the police just a few hours before she vanished—I can't help but wonder how she must have felt that evening. Filing a report must have taken so much courage, knowing the risks involved, especially after being threatened with a rifle. It’s unsettling how there seemed to be no immediate protective actions taken for her safety after she made such a serious allegation. And what about her boyfriend? Has he ever been thoroughly investigated beyond the initial reports? Seems odd that there wasn't an arrest or at least a restraining order, considering the circumstances. I feel like there are pieces of this puzzle that were maybe overlooked at the time or not given enough weight. What do you all think? Could there be new techniques or methods in forensics or investigations today that weren’t available back then, potentially opening new avenues in the case?
