I’ve been reading a lot about the Skid Row Slayer case, and something that’s been bothering me is how overlooked non-homeless victims like Chang Kang were. Chang was just 23, visiting family in LA, and got tragically caught up in this nightmare. It's appalling to think that someone like him, who wasn't part of the typical profile Player targeted, could become a victim simply because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The investigation seemed to initially focus heavily on the homeless population, which is understandable given the circumstances, but it makes you wonder how many opportunities were missed by not considering other angles sooner. I can't imagine the heartbreak and confusion Chang's family must have felt upon learning what happened to him. I just really hope that cases like this lead to broader investigative approaches, so others don’t have to experience the same pain. My heart goes out to Chang’s loved ones and all the victims who suffered during this harrowing time.

I was reading about the tragic deaths linked to Michael Player, and something that really stands out is how law enforcement initially struggled to piece everything together. It seems like the system was just overwhelmed, especially considering how Player targeted those who were already vulnerable. But what's been gnawing at me is the unfortunate timing of Chang Kang's visit to LA. Imagine being so excited to see family and ending up in the wrong place at the worst time. ? It's a sobering reminder of how unpredictable life can be and how systems need to improve in protecting everyone, not just those seen as a priority. My thoughts are with Chang's family and all the other victims' loved ones who had to endure this senseless loss.
