Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the ripple effects of the Charles Arnett Stevens case, especially on the people who were just accidentally caught up in that nightmare. I remember reading Raymond August's name and it struck me how random it all was — just a young guy, going about his life, and in an instant, everything changed. It’s absolutely terrifying to think about how an ordinary routine can turn tragic without warning. I often wonder how his family and friends have coped over the years. Losing someone like this... I can't even begin to fathom the pain and anger they must feel. I read somewhere that Stevens' legal journey dragged on for so long, and I hope it brought even a little closure to those suffering from his actions. Does anyone know if there's any kind of support system that was put in place for victims' families in situations like these? It’s hard not to think about what more can be done to support them, not just initially, but as they continue to deal with the trauma over the years. Thinking of everyone affected.
