Hi everyone, I came across Paul Douglas Horace’s case, and something that’s really stayed with me is thinking about his friends and family. With all the chaos and confusion of the 1992 LA riots, it must have been unbelievably difficult for them to get any answers, let alone find any sense of peace. Losing a loved one in such a violent and public way, with the city falling apart all around you — I can’t imagine the trauma they faced. I hope that with the arrests and convictions of those involved, there was some semblance of closure and justice for them. It’s a sobering reminder of the countless lives altered in times of unrest. Does anyone know if his family has ever spoken out about his case or how they’re doing today?
