Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Evan Leigh Foster case and can’t shake this profound sense of loss for him and his family. I was thinking about that day in Darby Park, and it’s just so hard to imagine how something as simple as signing up for basketball could end in such a tragic way. It really makes you think about the randomness of it all—Evan was just a little boy in his favorite Batman suit, probably excited about the prospect of playing basketball, when this unthinkable event occurred. I can’t stop thinking about his little brother Alec, too. At just 10 months old, he was caught in the crossfire, and those injuries, even if not life-threatening, must have been terrifying for the family. It’s moments like these that show us how quickly life can change, and it’s a reminder of the impact these violent acts have on innocent lives and families. I hope the community continues to rally around them and that somehow the family finds moments of peace in the midst of all this. It's also my hope that justice is served, and this case helps to bring about stronger action against such senseless violence. Hugging my loved ones a little tighter tonight. Sending thoughts and love to Evan's family and community. Edit: Spelling
