I wanted to talk about Chad Rhodes' actions right after the tragic event on I-580. The fact that Rhodes was seen celebrating with friends shortly after the attack is so disturbing to me. It demonstrates a complete lack of remorse and disregard for the life he took. It's hard to wrap my head around how someone could react that way, knowing the pain they've caused to Officer Williams' family and colleagues. Just imagining the grief Officer Williams' widow must have gone through, standing in court and having to listen to the details of her husband's murder is gut-wrenching. No family should have to endure this kind of senseless violence. That overpass being named after Officer Williams seems fitting to honor his bravery and sacrifice. It's a constant reminder of the dangers officers face daily. My thoughts are with his family, and I hope they're finding strength from the community and the legacy he left behind.
