Hi everyone, just wanted to share a thought that's been on my mind. I've been digging into the Conklin case recently, and I can't stop thinking about the role of witness testimonies in this case. Two friends of Davis testified that they helped with the burial, but it's interesting that despite the lack of physical evidence tying Davis directly to the murder scene, the jury still only took three hours to convict. It makes me wonder how much weight the court gave to these testimonies and whether they were as reliable as they seemed. Given that no physical evidence was ever found, it's curious how the jury reached such a swift decision. Has anyone else thought about how pivotal these testimonies might have been? ?
Hey everyone, I've been following the Conklin case and something that's been bothering me is the time gap between the alleged murder in 1993 and Jeffrey Davis's arrest in 1997. Does anyone have insights into why it took so long for the arrest to happen? I mean, if the authorities got a tip about Davis in 1996, why the delay of another year before making an arrest? Could there have been complications in finding the witnesses willing to testify, or perhaps they were gathering more evidence in those months? Just curious about the investigative process here and would love to hear any thoughts or info you might have!
