I've been following the tragic case of Juan Roberto Portillo, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It makes me wonder about the role of community cooperation in such cases. Did someone who knew of the crime eventually find the courage to speak out, or was it a stranger who stumbled across vital information? Either way, it's a poignant reminder of how important it is for the community to stand together against violence. If anyone has other examples of community involvement leading to breakthroughs in investigations, I'd be really interested to hear about them. It feels like a vital piece in the puzzle of fighting back against crime.
