Does anyone else think the neighborhood dynamics at the time might have played a bigger role in Oswaldo's case than we realize? From what I've gathered, Wilmington had its fair share of troubles back in 2001, which likely made living there nerve-wracking for residents. There seemed to be an undercurrent of fear, particularly among those who might have seen something but were too afraid to speak up. It's easy to understand why people might hesitate to cooperate when their safety feels at risk.
I can't help but wonder if more community outreach or witness protection options back then might have led to a different outcome. My heart goes out to Oswaldo’s family and friends who have waited so long for answers. It's tough knowing that fear could have prevented justice in this case. If anyone was from that area or has insight into how residents felt during that period, it would be valuable to hear your perspective on the ongoing impact it might have had on this case.
