The details I've been pondering concerning Marshall Garrison's case are, well, beyond difficult to digest. My thoughts have recently centered around that surveillance footage from Schooner’s. Normally, such footage would offer irrefutable evidence, yet the case still saw a mistrial initially. The fact that Brian Lewis recanted his initial testimony in the second trial makes me wonder about the pressures involved—perhaps internal or external—that led to his altered statement. It’s distressing to think how the ripple effects of pressure or fear can cloud true justice, and it really makes you appreciate the courage it must have taken for him to eventually come forward. On another note, I can only hope the clarity from this evidence provided some solace to Garrison’s family amidst their unimaginable grief, as challenging as that would have been. It's honestly awful how real people's lives and emotions are tangled in this mess, often battling conflicting narratives and truths.

This whole case is a mess and the wrong man was convicted. Perhaps because he settled for a public defender rather than a lawyer. Maybe if he had as good of a lawyer as the man acquitted did , the right person would have been prosecuted.

If he didn't do it I hope he appeals his case.
