I was thinking about Samuel Mendez Ramirez's case again and can't help but wonder about the role of community support. It seems like so many cases depend not just on the authorities but on the local community stepping up with any information they might have. There has to be someone out there who knows more about what happened. It's both frustrating and heartbreaking to think that fear or mistrust might be keeping people silent. I understand the challenges in neighborhoods dealing with gang presence, but this young man deserves justice. Sending love and strength to his family. My hope is that one day, someone will find the courage to come forward with the piece of the puzzle that's been missing all these years.
