Has anyone else noticed that Ruben's case hasn't received much media attention? It's distressing because media coverage can sometimes lead to new leads or witnesses coming forward. It's been over 20 years, and I can't help but wonder if increased public awareness could push the case forward. I really feel for his family and friends who have been waiting so long for answers. It makes me think about how we can better advocate for victims like Ruben, whose stories risk being forgotten. If anyone has ideas on how to raise more awareness or has seen a similar situation with another case getting resolved after media attention, please share. Ruben—and all victims—deserve justice.

I recently stumbled across Ruben Carlos Arango's case, and it's so upsetting that his family still doesn't have any answers over twenty years later. One thing that stands out to me about his case is the area where it happened—Mar Vista. From what I understand, violence wasn't uncommon there at the time. It makes me wonder how much community support and safety have shifted since then. This was a young man with so much ahead of him, and it just brings to light how vital community involvement is in preventing these tragedies. Ruben's family not only lost him to gun violence, but they're also left with a lack of justice. It’s crucial for us as a community to keep sharing stories like Ruben’s, in the hope that someone comes forward with the information needed to bring some peace to his loved ones. Thoughts and prayers just don't seem like enough for the Arango family. Hoping for a break in this case someday.
