Has anyone else looked into the criminal justice system's failures in the Grim Sleeper case? It's infuriating to think that Lonnie Franklin Jr. was released from jail just two months before Valerie McCorvey was killed. How many lives could have been saved if the system hadn't failed in keeping such a dangerous person off the streets? Valerie's family and friends must feel so betrayed by the very system meant to protect them. It's clear there's a dire need for reform to prevent something like this from happening again. How do we hold the system accountable while ensuring that the victims and their families receive the justice they so desperately deserve?
