Has anyone looked into the route that Jonathan might have taken from Columbia to Charleston? I did a quick map check, and the Jedburg exit where his car was found burned seems quite a detour from the direct path. I’m wondering if anyone's examined why he might have gone or ended up that way. Was Jedburg a known hotspot for car thefts or other crimes back in '97? It seems like such a random place for his car to end up, especially if he intended to stay on a direct route. It always makes me think if maybe there was something or someone that led him there. Anyone local to the area with insights from that time? It’s frustrating to think about how little seems to have been uncovered all these years.
Has anyone else noticed the odd timing with Jonathan Holmes going missing? His car was found burned the same night he disappeared, but he wasn't reported missing until six days later. That gap always seemed strange to me. It's hard to believe nobody raised the alarm sooner, especially when he was supposed to be picking up family. I wonder if there was an assumption that he just took off somewhere or something? It feels like such a huge delay in getting the investigation started.
