Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact that the violence in Baltimore has on the families and friends left behind, especially in cases like Lamar Chambers'. Can you imagine the pain of losing someone so young in such a violent and unpredictable way? It's hard to wrap my head around the idea that in 2017 alone, over 300 families went through this, each story as tragic as the next. What stands out to me is the silence that surrounds many of these cases. With so many homicides, it feels like some stories just get lost in the chaos. I wonder how many similar incidents happen where the voices calling for justice get drowned out by sheer numbers. Has anyone followed up on community initiatives or groups that are trying to address this silence? I think hearing more from those directly impacted might spur more collective action or at least keep these stories alive until answers are found.
