I came across the case of Jason Herbert Gorry recently, and it's been on my mind ever since. From what I gathered, he was tragically shot in East Hollywood, a place where one would hope to feel safe. It's unsettling to think about how gun violence can touch anyone, anywhere—it feels so random and unfair. The thing that really struck me about this case is the difficulty investigators faced in uncovering what truly happened. Despite thorough efforts, it's like the incident was shrouded in confusion, with elusive suspects and unclear motives. I can't even imagine how painful this must be for Jason's family and friends who were left grasping for answers and seeking justice. Gun violence is such a pervasive problem, not just in Los Angeles, but across the world. It makes you think about the safety of our communities and what more can be done to protect people from senseless harm. My thoughts are with everyone who knew Jason and everyone working tirelessly to resolve his case. May they find the peace and closure they deserve.
