Has anyone looked into the lighting conditions in that alley where Luis Romo was attacked? It’s so sad to think that something as simple as poor lighting could have given the perpetrator an advantage or prevented someone from witnessing the attack and alerting authorities sooner. Boyle Heights can have its share of poorly lit areas, and it could be an important part of why this homicide remains unsolved. I’ve seen it in other cases too—dark spots become these perfect hiding places for crimes. Just heartbreaking for his family who is still waiting for answers. If any locals have noticed anything about that alley since 2007, it might be worth mentioning to the investigators. Maybe it's a long shot, but every little detail might help in bringing some peace to Luis's loved ones.
