I've been following the Abel Martinez Mejia case closely, and it still breaks my heart to think about how this unfolded over something as petty as money at a taco truck. Abel was just on his lunch break, grabbing food like any of us might. It's terrifying how quickly things can turn from normal to a nightmare. One thing I've been thinking about is the impact on Abel's children. Losing a parent in such a horrific manner must be incredibly difficult, and I can't imagine trying to make sense of that as a child. Abel was described as a loving father, and my heart goes out to his kids, who have to navigate life without their dad. Hoping they're surrounded by love and support from their community. Sending strength and comfort to Abel's family as they continue to process and heal from this tragedy.
