Reading about Kevin Watkins' tragic death just brings into focus how deeply entrenched the violence in Baltimore was at the time. It's gut-wrenching to think about the ripple effect on the community and especially his family, who lost a cherished father and friend. I was particularly struck by how his loved ones describe him as not just a jokester but a deeply caring individual. Kevin's passing is more than a statistic; it's a painful reminder of the human cost behind the rising numbers. Has there been any progress in the investigation since 2017, or have the authorities commented on any leads they might be pursuing? It's frustrating when it feels like these cases fade away and don't get the focus they deserve.
