Hey everyone, I've been reading up on the Covina massacre case, and one thing that really stands out to me is the incredible strength and resilience of Alicia Sotomayor Ortega's family and friends in the aftermath of such a horrible tragedy. It's unimaginable what they must have gone through, especially losing not just Alicia and Joe, but other loved ones as well in such a violent way. One aspect that really tugs at my heart is thinking about those Christmas gatherings before the incident. Alicia's Christmas Eve party was a staple for the family, meant to be a joyful time. It's so distressing to imagine such a cherished event being marred like this. Yet, it seems like the community came together to honor her memory and support her surviving family members. I often wonder how they've managed to find some peace over the years and how it's shaped their lives moving forward. Does anyone know if there's been any memorials or annual events held in their honor that the community still participates in? It feels essential to remember the lives of those tragically lost and keep that spirit of love and togetherness alive. Hug your loved ones a little tighter, everyone. Take care.
