I've been thinking about Jason Power's case and can't help but wonder about the absence of any surveillance footage or eyewitness accounts around the time he went missing. Given that he was last seen in Portland, where you'd expect cameras in public areas, it's strange that nothing useful has come up. It makes you question whether the cameras were operational or if they even existed back in 2000. Or worse, whether there's someone out there who was savvy enough to avoid detection. I hope the police have revisited this angle with any updated resources they might have. It's just so puzzling how someone can vanish without a trace in an area where you'd expect there to be more visibility. Does anyone have more insights on how investigations like this might handle such gaps, especially when they're working with tech from over two decades ago? It's frustrating, but I really hope for his family's sake that something new surfaces.
I’ve been following Jason Power’s case for quite some time now, and something that always strikes me is how the community reacted back in 2000. I’ve heard that locals rallied hard to try and find him, organizing search parties and distributing flyers all around Portland. It’s a testament to how tight-knit a community can be and how much they care when someone goes missing. I wonder if there’s anyone here who was part of those initial searches or remembers how the atmosphere was back then? Did it feel like the community had any leads initially that they thought might turn up something? There’s so much that gets lost over time, but personal memories can be vital in cases like these.
