Hey everyone,
I've been following Michael Lord's case for a while and something that just puzzles me is how there was zero DNA evidence found at Barbara Asher's apartment or even around the area where they claimed to have disposed of his body. I mean, I get it—science and technology weren't as advanced back then as they are now, but still, nothing at all? It's not like there wasn't any potential for it, considering the seriousness of the accusations. Does anyone else find it strange that there was not a speck of physical evidence when prosecutors seemed so sure of what happened? It just makes you wonder about the thoroughness of the investigation at the time and whether modern techniques could have made a difference. Thoughts?
Does anyone else find it strange how quickly Barbara Asher and her boyfriend managed to allegedly dispose of Michael Lord's body? I mean, if the prosecutors' timeline is accurate, they had to act fast to remove all traces. You would think someone might have seen something or heard unusual noises, especially in a populated area like an apartment complex. Plus, hauling multiple trash bags to a separate location, like a restaurant's dumpster in Augusta, seems risky and bold. Were there no surveillance cameras or witnesses? The logistical aspect of it all just seems off to me. And it's so frustrating because without any physical evidence, we're left with nothing but speculation and Asher's retracted confession. What are your thoughts on how they could've pulled this off without getting caught and why there are no leads on the remains?
