I'm deeply saddened by the ongoing delays in Justin Valdez's case. It’s truly perplexing how there's been so much overwhelming evidence since day one — like the surveillance footage — yet nearly a decade later, there’s still no trial. I can't even imagine how excruciating this wait must be for his family and friends. Justin had such a promising future, and his passion for the environment and swimming was truly inspiring. The thought of a young life being snatched away so randomly is haunting. It’s upsetting to think that justice in San Francisco seems sluggish in cases like these. I hope the new district attorney's commitment to resolving old cases isn’t just talk and that action will finally be taken. No family should have to languish in uncertainty for this long. If anyone has insights on why the legal process is dragging so much here, I’d really appreciate it. Keeping Justin’s loved ones in my thoughts.
