I've been following the discussions around Dora Lee Dawson's case and I'm continually struck by her immense bravery. It's hard not to think about how fierce her love must have been to stand up in such a terrifying situation to protect her grandson, Datwan. It’s just devastating that someone’s anger and misguided emotions could end in such a horrible event. I hope Datwan can find some peace and healing despite what he's been through. My heart goes out to him and all of Dora’s family and friends. Justice needs to be served, but I also hope there's awareness about the dangers of domestic disputes. Maybe by sharing her story, others can be encouraged to reach out for help before things escalate to such extremes. ? Stay safe, everyone.
