Does anyone else find it strange that the murder weapon was never found in the Lewis Newton case? I keep wondering if there's more to the story that we haven't heard yet, especially since they managed to track down Boehm years later. It seems like such a crucial piece of evidence to be missing. I feel for Lewis’s family and friends, having to go through so many years without answers. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been but thankful that they finally got some closure with the arrest and conviction. But without the weapon, I wonder if there could be more involved that we don't know about. Thoughts?

I’ve been following Lewis Newton’s case for a while now, and it's so unsettling how it took years to uncover what actually happened. Reading how detectives had to piece together his final hours while so much of the investigation was kept under wraps makes me appreciate the tenacity and patience of these investigators. It's like peeking into a world of unanswered questions until, finally, the truth starts to unravel. I can’t help but think about the impact this has had on his friends and family during those long years when answers seemed elusive. And his son... I hope the fund established in his father’s memory brings some comfort and support. The fact that Lewis was remembered as a "Gentle Giant" really speaks volumes about the person he was. It's such a stark contrast to how tragically his life was taken away. How such kindness can meet with such a brutal fate is just beyond comprehension. Keeping his loved ones in my thoughts.

The news of Lewis Newton's murder was hard to swallow, but what really struck me was the silence around the crime scene details. It's been so long since the initial discovery, and yet we're left in the dark about many aspects. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for his family and friends not knowing exactly how it all unfolded for so many years. I'm curious if anyone else finds it odd that the weapon was never recovered? I wonder if there's a chance it was taken back to South Carolina by Boehm or if it remains somewhere in California. This missing piece has kept me up some nights thinking about the kind of closure it could bring if found. His loved ones deserve every answer they can get, and it's frustrating to see how many questions still linger in a case this old. My heart goes out to Newton's loved ones. It's reassuring to hear about the fund established for his son—it shows the community's strength and compassion in times of loss. Holding onto hope that the remaining mysteries will eventually be resolved to bring more peace to all those affected.
