I've been following the Valentin Alvarez-Marinez case for a while, and one thing I find puzzling is the complete lack of media coverage. For someone who's been missing since 2001, it seems odd that no major outlets have picked up the story in depth. Was there any effort made by family or friends to get the word out to the press back then? Sometimes local stories just slip through the cracks, and it's frustrating because media attention can sometimes generate new leads. If anyone has any info on whether there were attempts to reach out to reporters in the early days of his disappearance, that might help us understand why there's been such a media silence surrounding his case.
Does anyone here have more information about Carbondale, Pennsylvania back in 2001? I’m trying to understand more about the context of Valentin Alvarez-Marinez's disappearance. Given how little info is available, I wonder if there were other disappearances or crimes in the area at that time. It’s been such a long time with no answers, and it puzzles me how some cases just have so little to go on. Anyone local or familiar with the area back then have insights or know if there were similar incidents? Even the smallest detail might help spark something new!
