I'm thinking a lot about how this tragic event shook the Milpitas community back in 2014. It’s hard to wrap my head around how a night that probably started as a regular party turned into such a nightmare for everyone involved. My heart truly goes out to Jesus Granados' family and friends who had to face such an unimaginable loss and the community that had to grapple with fear and heartbreak. The role witnesses played in piecing together what happened seems crucial. Speaking up in these situations can be daunting, especially with something this violent, but it's important for justice to be served. It's situations like these that remind us of the real impact that violence can have, not just on those directly involved, but on entire communities. This case highlighted how quickly things can escalate and ended up being a first—and hopefully only—incident of its kind for that year in Milpitas. If anyone has more insights on how the local community came together to support the family or any safety measures followed, please share.

It's so saddening to think about Jesus Ulises Granados and the nightmare that unfolded that night. I can't help but wonder about the impact this had on everyone who was there at the motel. Those partygoers witnessed something truly horrific, and I imagine it's not something anyone could just forget. It does bring me some relief, though, to know the Milpitas police worked so hard to bring those suspects in. It must have been so traumatizing for everyone involved, and especially heartbreaking for Jesus’s loved ones. I sincerely hope the trial provides some solace for his family and that they can find a way to cope with this loss. Does anyone know if there have been any statements from the witnesses since the arrests? I'm curious if they've found any peace in knowing the suspects are behind bars.
